Systron Donner Automotive was formed on September 30, 2002. It was created from separating out the automotive inertial sensor business from Systron Donner Inertial. This allows Systron Donner Automotive the opportunity to address the automotive needs of its market while Systron Donner Inertial focuses on aerospace and defense markets.
Systron Donner Automotive manufactures inertial sensors for the automotive market. We are the world's leading supplier of quartz MEMS sensors for automotive applications. GyroChip sensors are applicable in safety and comfort and convenience automotive systems. The largest application to date is yaw rate sensing in vehicle dynamic control anti-skid systems. We have introduced multi-axis inertial sensor packages that address multiple sensing needs in one or more on-board systems with one sensor cluster.
